Hyderabad: The Telangana government has sanctioned pensions for over 2,350 additional dialysis patients, in addition to the existing 4,710 beneficiaries.

According to officials, since the formation of the Congress government, ‘Cheyutha’ pensions have been provided to 4,710 dialysis patients. Recently, pensions were newly sanctioned for another 2,356 dialysis sufferers.

Panchayat Raj Minister Seethakka recently signed the relevant file, and the beneficiaries are set to begin receiving their pensions starting next month.

Furthermore, officials disclosed that another 488 applications are currently under review, and pensions will be sanctioned to eligible applicants very soon. Dialysis patients face multiple challenges, including frequent hospital visits for treatment, expenses related to medication and travel, and loss of livelihood. In these circumstances, the ‘Cheyutha’ pension of ` 2,016 provided by the government offers significant financial relief.
