Studentsfrom the Police Children’s Summer Camp in Anantapur showcased outstanding talent in the district-level painting competition conducted as part of the International Day of Biodiversity 2026 celebrations.

The competition, organised by the National Green Corps at the Government Degree College in Anantapur, focused on the theme of “Biodiversity.”

Five students from the Police Children’s Summer Camp, conducted under the initiative of P Jagadish, participated in the junior category, with three students securing top honours.

Sasmith, a Class VI student, won the first prize along with a cash award of ₹500 for his exceptional performance. Another Class VI student, M Dhanush, secured the second prize for his creativity and artistic presentation. P Vedanta Sai, also studying in Class VI, received a consolation prize for his performance in the competition.The students used their artwork to highlight environmental awareness and biodiversity conservation, earning appreciation from organisers and participants alike.

Following their success at the district-level event, Superintendent of Police P Jagadish invited the winning students to his chamber and personally congratulated them for bringing recognition to the summer camp and the police family.

Speaking on the occasion, the SP said the Police Children’s Summer Camp was aimed at identifying and encouraging the hidden talents and creativity of children from police families.

He noted that participation in such competitions helps improve confidence and motivates students to pursue excellence in academics and extracurricular activities.

The SP conveyed his best wishes to the prize winnersand encouraged them to continue striving for higher achievements in the future.
