Residentsof Kappatralla village in Devanakonda mandal have been facing severe drinking water scarcity amid the intense summer heat, prompting local leaders to step in with immediate temporary relief measures.

Acting on the directions of Alur constituency in-charge Vaikuntham Jyothi and Vaikuntham Prasad, local representatives Kappatralla Surendra and Kappatralla Mallikarjuna responded swiftly to the issue and initiated arrangements to ensure drinking water supply to the affected villagers.

Recognising the growing hardships faced by the residents due to acute water shortage, the local leaders took immediate steps on Friday to set up a bore water supply system in the village as a temporary solution.

They stated that the demand for drinking water has increased significantly due to rising temperatures and assured villagers that continuous efforts are being made to provide uninterrupted drinking water supply.

The initiative has brought considerable relief to the villagers who had been strugglingwith inadequate access to safe drinking water over the past few weeks.

Villagers appreciated the prompt response and support extended by Kappatralla Surendra and Kappatralla Mallikarjuna in addressing the crisis. Several villagers, including Kaulutlaya,Chakali Lakshmanna, Yerra Kaulutlaya, Chintamanu Sudhakar, Giddayya, and Girapagari Venkatesh, participated in the programme and expressed hope that permanent measures for drinking water supply would also be taken up in the near future.
