New Delhi:Aluminium prices rose marginally by 0.3 per cent to Rs 384.80 per kg in futures trade as speculators built up fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market. The price of aluminium for delivery in June increased by Rs 1.15 in 216 lots. Analysts said fresh positions created by traders amid demand from consuming industries supported aluminium prices in the futures market.

Copper futures gain on spot demand

Copper futures rose by Rs 6.10 to Rs 1,368.75 per kg on Friday due to higher spot demand. Copper contracts for June delivery grew 0.45 per cent in 1,891 lots. Analysts attributed the rise in copper prices to higher bets by participants.

Zinc futures climb on high bets

Zinc prices rose marginally by Rs 2 to Rs 367 per kg in futures trade on higher bets by participants. Zinc contracts for June delivery edged up 0.55 per cent in 460 lots. Traders attributed the rise in zinc futures to higher spot demand.
