ManagingDirector of Sri City, Dr Ravindra Sannareddy, delivered the keynote address at the Namaste Asia Summit 2026 in Chennai, organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) – Southern Region.

Speaking on the theme “Building Partnerships for Asia’s Next Growth Story,” Dr Sannareddy underscored the compelling manufacturing, investment, and supply chain opportunities that India, particularly South India, offers to Asian enterprises.

He noted that Special Economic Zones (SEZs), well-connected industrial corridors, and robust coastal infrastructure are actively encouraging international companies to establish local manufacturing hubs and comprehensive supplier ecosystems.

“As Asian companies increasingly prioritize localized manufacturing, their supply chain partners are naturally following suit to establish operations. Enabled by world-class industrial hubs like Sri City, coupled with dedicated industrial corridors and coastal connectivity, global enterprises are making South India their strategic base,” he stated.

Furthermore, Dr Sannareddy expressed strong support for CII’s new initiative, ‘The Nilgiris India Economic Dialogue,’ which is envisioned as a high-level strategic platform modeled after the World Economic Forum at Davos.
