New Delhi:Copper futures rose by Rs 7.10 to Rs 1,409 per kilogram due to higher spot demand. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for October delivery went up by Rs 7.10, or 0.51 per cent, to Rs 1,409 per kilogram in a business turnover of 1,823 lots. Analysts attributed the rise in copper prices to higher bets by participants.

Aluminium futures marginally up on fresh bets

Aluminium prices rose marginally by Rs 1.05 to Rs 344.20 per kilogram in futures trade as speculators built fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market. The aluminium price for delivery in October rose 0.31 per cent in 338 lots.

Zinc futures rise on higher demand

Zinc prices edged up 0.67 per cent to Rs 422.60 per kg in futures trade, tracking higher demand from market participants. Zinc contracts for October delivery rose Rs 2.80 to Rs 422.60 per kg in 968 lots. Traders attributed the rise in zinc futures to higher demand in the spot market.
