NirmalDistrict Collector Bhavesh Mishra directed health officials to ensure quality medical services and proper facilities at government hospitals. During a surprise inspection of Khanapur Government Hospital on Tuesday, he reviewed the OP and IP sections, patient registration, maternity ward, blood testing unit, pharmacy and other services.

The Collector inspected departmental registers and instructed staff to maintain and update records regularly. He stressed that doctors and medical staff must attend duties punctually and provide timely treatment and medicines to patients. Mishra said reliable healthcare services would help strengthen public trust in government hospitals. He directed staff to treat patients with courtesy, understand their concerns and ensure necessary diagnostic tests and treatment facilities.

He also inspected sanitation arrangements and ordered regular cleaning of the hospital premises. He warned that negligence in medical services, hospital management or sanitation would invite strict action.

Later, he directed municipal officials to remove footpath encroachments near the old bus stand.
