TheGirijan Cooperative Corporation (GCC) is taking steps to strengthen marketing facilities for products produced by tribal farmers and promote Araku Valley Coffee among tourists and the public, emphasised GCC chairman Kidari Sravan Kumar.

Inspecting the ongoing construction of the Araku Valley Coffee Cafe, established by GCC on Beach Road at an estimated cost of Rs 1.06 crore here on Tuesday, he directed officials to maintain quality standards and complete the project following strict timelines.

The cafe is designed to offer visitors a taste of authentic Araku coffee while providing a platform to showcase and market various tribal products sold by GCC. A cafe will be established on the ground floor, where visitors can enjoy Araku coffee and purchase tribal products, he added. The Araku Coffee Experience Centre is being developed on the first floor. Visitors can explore the bean-to-cup journey of the world-famous indigenous coffee. Sravan Kumar mentioned that the experience centre would provide tourists and the public a first-hand understanding of the coffee production process, while also highlighting the efforts and challenges faced by tribal farmers and the marketing opportunities available for their products.
