DistrictCollector Dr. Satya Sharada on Thursday flagged off an “AIDS Awareness & Prevention Campaign Day” rally from Kakatiya Medical College to MGM Hospital as part of the 99-day action plan under the Prajapalana–Urban Planning initiative.

Addressing participants, the Collector stressed the importance of spreading awareness about HIV/AIDS, urging people to understand both the modes of transmission and prevention. She said that eliminating stigma and promoting safe lifestyle practices were key to controlling the disease and safeguarding public health.

Following the rally, a human chain was organised at the MGM junction, after which the Collector inaugurated a free health camp for workers at the Warangal Super Speciality Hospital. Several officials, including Additional Collectors, health officers, medical staff, ASHA workers, and members of the public, took part in the programme.
