Reaffirmingthe commitment of the Congress government towards inclusive development, Wardhannapet MLA K.R. Nagaraju said that the welfare of the poor, marginalised and weaker sections remains the primary objective of the state government.

On Thursday, at Maa Gardens under Kazipet mandal limits, the MLA distributed cheques worth Rs 80,09,280 to 80 beneficiaries belonging to divisions 44, 45, 46 and 64 of the Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation. Additionally, under the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF), cheques amounting to Rs 4,30,000 were handed over to 18 beneficiaries.

Addressing the gathering, Nagaraju stated that the government was extending financial support through the CMRF to ensure that poor patients undergoing medical treatment did not face financial burdens. He highlighted that flagship schemes such as Kalyana Lakshmi and Shaadi Mubarak were playing a crucial role in supporting marriages of girls from economically weaker families, thereby providing them financial security.

He further noted that the Congress government was implementing several welfare measures, including the distribution of fine quality rice free of cost to ration card holders across the state. Emphasising women’s empowerment, he said the government aimed to make one crore women financially strong through various initiatives.

The MLA asserted that development works were being carried out in all divisions without political bias, focusing on the overall growth of colonies. He added that special priority was being given to the education and healthcare sectors in Wardhannapet constituency.

Encouraging public participation, Nagaraju advised citizens to utilise the “Dial Your MLA” programme to communicate their grievances and assured that all eligible beneficiaries would receive assistance under the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.

He also pointed out that unlike in the past, when money was allegedly collected in the name of double bedroom housing schemes, the present government was providing houses under the Indiramma scheme free of cost to eligible poor families.

Issuing a stern warning, he said strict action would be taken against anyone collecting money in the name of government schemes, and reiterated that all welfare programmes would be implemented with complete transparency.
