IG of Eagle (Elite Action Group for Drug Law Enforcement) Akke Ravi Krishna called upon students to distance themselves from ragging and narcotics and to strive toward high goals with noble thoughts. An orientation programme on the topics of Ragging, Alcoholism, and Drug Abuse was organised at Adikavi Nannaya University (AKNU). The event, held at the university seminar hall, was inaugurated with the lighting of the lamp by the chief guests, Vice-Chancellor Professor S Prasanna Sree and IG Ravi Krishna.

During his address, IG encouraged the students of AKNU to reach prestigious positions in their careers. He stated that the Eagle organisation is working toward a drug-free Andhra Pradesh and has appointed Eagle committees in approximately 40,000 educational institutions to create awareness. He also mentioned efforts to establish a cybercrime police station in every district of the state. Warning everyone to be vigilant regarding crimes in cyberspace, he noted that fear, greed, obsession, and shame are the primary drivers of increasing cybercrimes in the modern technological era.

He observed that many criminals operate within cyberspace and urged the youth to stay informed and educate their parents and society. He advised that any information regarding cyber crimes should be reported to the toll-free number 1930. Vice-Chancellor Prof Prasanna Sree praised Ravi Krishna as a person of great integrity who follows the path of truth. She lauded his dedication over the past 10 years in adopting a village once known as a hub for crime, successfully eliminating criminal activities and working for the residents' progress.

During the programme, the students took a pledge to remain vigilant against drugs and cybercrimes. Awareness posters on drugs and cybercrimes designed by Eagle Andhra Pradesh were also unveiled. District SP D Narasimha Kishore paid a courtesy visit to IG Ravi Krishna at the Vice-Chancellor's office. Registrar Prof KV Swamy, Dean of Student Affairs Prof N Uday Bhaskar, and others participated in the event.
