SriPadmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam (SPMVV), Tirupati, has achieved ISO certification, marking a significant milestone in its commitment to quality education, efficient administration and continuous institutional improvement.

The renewed certificates were presented to the university authorities by Alapati Sivaiah, Managing Director of HYM International Certifications Pvt Ltd., on Thursday.

Speaking on the occasion, he appreciated the university for demonstrating a high level of commitment to quality standards, transparency in procedures and the adoption of best practices.

Vice Chancellor Prof V Uma expressed immense pride in the achievement, stating that the certification reflects the collective efforts of faculty, staff and students.

She emphasised that SPMVV will continue to strive for innovation, inclusivity and academic excellence in the years ahead. Registrar Prof R Usha said the ISO certification recognises the university’s unwavering commitment to maintaining quality standards, transparency and continuous improvement in both academic and administrative processes.

The certifications awarded include ISO 21001:2018 for Educational Organisations Management System, ISO 14001:2015 for Environmental Management System and ISO 50001:2018 for Energy Management System, along with Academic Administrative Audit Certification for providing quality education and a Q5 Star Quality Rating Certificate for educational services. The university’s DST–CURIE Laboratory also secured the first-ever ISO/IEC 17025:2005 certification in nanomaterial testing from Global Accreditation Services Inc., USA.

Prof T Tripura Sundari, Director of IQAC, who coordinated the process, said the certification reflects adherence to internationally recognised standards in academic processes, governance, infrastructure and student support services.

The evaluation covered teaching methodologies, research practices, administrative procedures and stakeholder satisfaction systems.
