Ina strong move to ensure orderly urban growth and environmental sustainability, the Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC) has intensified its focus on strict compliance and responsible construction practices.

A high level meeting was held on April 9 under the chairmanship of the Commissioner bringing together key stakeholders from leading builder associations, including National Real Estate Development Council (NAREDCO), Confederation of Real Estate Developers' Associations of India (CREDAI), and the Telangana Developers Association, along with several individual developers.

The meeting centered on reinforcing adherence to construction norms, environmental standards, and regulatory frameworks across all ongoing and upcoming projects within CMC limits, Commissioner Dr G Srijana issued clear and firm directives to ensure that development aligns with approved guidelines and public safety priorities.

Builders were instructed to implement robust safety measures at construction sites, ensuring worker protection and minimising on-site risks. Strict measures were also emphasised for controlling dust and air pollution, along with compliance with noise pollution norms to reduce the impact on surrounding communities.

Highlighting regulatory discipline, the Commissioner reiterated that partial Occupancy Certificates (OCs) must only be sought after full completion of projects as per sanctioned plans, in line with G.O.Ms (Government Order Miscellaneous) No. 168. Developers were also directed to ensure proper debris management by handing over construction waste to authorised agencies, preventing illegal dumping and environmental harm.

Furthermore, strict adherence to buffer zone development as per approved layouts was mandated, along with full cooperation with civic authorities during inspections and OC processing.

The meeting underscored a unified vision of safe, sustainable, and compliant construction practices. The Commissioner concluded by stressing that responsible development is essential for building a cleaner, safer, and well planned Cyberabad.
