MLA Amilineni Surendra Babu interacts with students after inaugurating the new building of Brainy Star Private School in Kalyandurg on Thursday

MLA Amilineni Surendra Babu on Thursday inaugurated the new building of Brainy Star Private School here on Tuesday and emphasised the importance of parental involvement in students’ education.

After formally opening the facility, the MLA inspected classrooms, a play area, and science laboratories. Addressing a gathering, he said parents must take greater responsibility in guiding children to become responsible citizens. He noted that both education and values are essential for achieving success in life.

Recalling his own schooling at Nirmala Convent, he said the English foundation he acquired there continues to benefit him. He also highlighted the government’s commitment to providing quality education and nutritious mid-day meals, along with educational kits for students. The MLA appreciated the school management for its growth from a small institution with 25 students to a well-developed campus accommodating around 250 students. He also pointed to the success of a free teacher training initiative in the region, which helped several candidates secure teaching jobs.

Raising concerns about poor road connectivity affecting students’ access to schools, he said the issue has been brought to the attention of the Transport Department and assured that necessary steps would be taken.
