Underthe directions of BRS chief Chandrashekar Rao, the party working president KT Rama Rao is set to invite the sulking senior Congress leader T Jeevan Reddy to join the BRS. The working president is slated to hold a meeting with party leaders from Karimnagar district on Thursday. Having returned from a week-long trip to the United States on Wednesday, KT Rama Rao and BRSLP deputy leader Harish Rao were summoned by the party chief at his Eravelli farmhouse. Sources indicate that the BRS chief has entrusted KT Rama Rao with the responsibility of meeting Jeevan Reddy at 2 pm on Thursday to formalise the invitation. Previous discussions have already taken place, and this meeting is viewed as a strategic attempt to strengthen the party in Karimnagar. The veteran Congress leader is expected to meet Chandrashekar Rao soon and likely join the party in his presence in Hyderabad.

The meeting at the farmhouse also involved discussions regarding the upcoming TRS Formation Day. Sources suggest the party will hold a day-long plenary on 27 April in the Ranga Reddy district. This announcement is expected to be made officially by KT Rama Rao following his meeting with the Karimnagar leaders. By bringing a seasoned politician like Jeevan Reddy into the fold, the BRS aims to reclaim its dominance in its former stronghold while preparing for the large-scale organisational celebrations later this month.
