Templesconstructed with active public participation serve as a guiding force for spiritual development and social unity, said Naini Rajender Reddy on Wednesday.

He made these remarks while attending the foundation stone laying ceremony of the Pochamma Thalli temple in Chaitanyapuri Colony under the 61st Division of Hanumakonda. The temple is being constructed with the collective efforts of local residents, and the ceremony was held in a grand and devotional atmosphere.

The MLA, who was the chief guest at the event, formally inaugurated the construction works by breaking a coconut and offering special prayers in accordance with traditional customs. The area witnessed a vibrant spiritual ambience, with devotional chants and traditional musical instruments drawing large participation from devotees.

Speaking on the occasion, he stated that the construction of the Pochamma Thalli temple symbolised faith, devotion, and unity among the people. He added that such initiatives would significantly contribute to the spiritual growth of the region.

He emphasised that temples are not merely places of worship but also serve as cultural and social centres that help preserve age-old traditions and values. According to him, community-driven efforts like these play a crucial role in strengthening social harmony and fostering a sense of belonging among residents.

The MLA appreciated the voluntary efforts of the colony residents in taking up the temple construction and noted that the structure, once completed, would emerge as a spiritual landmark for the area. He further assured his support for the timely completion of the temple, along with the overall development of the colony, including improvements in basic infrastructure and civic amenities.

A large number of local leaders, colony representatives, women, and youth participated in the programme and expressed happiness over the commencement of the temple construction. The event concluded on a devotional note, reflecting unity and collective spirit among the people.
