TheLions Club of Karimnagar Balajinagar had conducted its 14th Installation Ceremony in a grand manner on Tuesday evening at Srinidhi Chits Conference Hall in Jyothinagar.

The First Vice District Governor (Elect), Lion Guntuku Chandra Prakash, had attended as the chief guest and administered the oath of office to the newly elected executive committee.

For the Lionistic Year 2026–27, Lion Marampalli Gangadhar (Retired DE) had been installed as President, Lion Varana Ramana Reddy as Secretary, and Lion Baddam Tirupati Reddy as Treasurer, along with other unanimously elected members.

Addressing the gathering, the chief guest had praised the club for its outstanding service over the past 13 years.

He had highlighted key initiatives such as the drinking water purification plant at Jyothinagar, which had been supplying 20 litres of purified water at an affordable cost to nearly 100 families daily, and the Lions Diagnostic Centre at Ganesh Nagar Bypass Road, which had been offering low-cost medical services to around 50 people every day. He had expressed confidence that the club would continue to take up more structured and impactful service programmes in the coming years.

Several prominent Lions members and dignitaries, including Immediate Past Multiple Council Chairperson Lion Hanumandla Rajireddy, DCS Designate Lion Volala Krishna Hari, RC Designate Lion Boyinapalli Sarala, ZC Designate Lion V. Santosh Reddy, Dr MLN Reddy, and Past President Lion A. Ravinder Reddy, had attended the event.

The meeting had been presided over by Lion A. Ravinder Reddy. The club had been actively engaged in various service activities, including the “Meals on Wheels” programme, distribution of educational materials to students, maintenance of drinking water facilities in government hospitals, installation of cold water units in healthcare centres, organisation of health camps, and yoga sessions.

It had also conducted eye screening camps for drivers under the “Arrive Alive” initiative, providing spectacles, medicines, and free cataract surgery support.
