DeputyChief Minister K Pawan Kalyan emphasised that students possess ‘nuclear’ energy and their ‘explosive’ traits have to be utilised for building the nation.

Participating as chief guest at Andhra University’s ‘Shatabdi Utsavalu’ on the concluding day organised in Visakhapatnam on Wednesday, the Deputy CM exhorted the students not to get carried away by any ideology blindly.

“Each one of you make sure what ‘ideology’ is worth to be embraced. Embrace an ideology which will uphold dharma, constitutional values, and help showcase gratitude to the nation,” he urged, encouraging the student community to dream big and work hard to realise it.

The government is providing education through the money from scores of tax payers. By getting educated, it is also important to contribute to the nation, Pawan Kalyan underlined.

“The actions we take will decide our future. Our knowledge and thoughts should be constructively channelised and useful for the society,” he stressed.

The academic phase of students plays a key role in nation’s growth and it is also their responsibility too, the Deputy CM said.

Speaking about Andhra University, Pawan Kalyan, “Several stalwarts, intellectuals and experts were graduated from the 100-year-old Andhra University. Even as I don’t deserve to be addressing this great institution, I did come for the centenary celebrations for the love you showered on me.”

Recalling his film life, Pawan Kalyan said that he would know about Andhra University’s emblem and departments through filmmaker Trivikram Srinivas. “I used to get scared to attend students’ programmes because it is tough to answer their bold questions. Participating in such a large scale student-centric programme today is a big adventure for me,” the Deputy Chief Minister admitted. It is common to applause celebrities. But those who sacrificed their lives and contributed remarkably for the nation deserve such applause, Pawan Kalyan mentioned.

“A decade back, I was not addressing the way I am now. I have overcome several failures in my life before standing here as failures made me stronger. The main reason behind me venturing into politics is to safeguard future generations. Students and youth play an important role in building future generation and I wish them all the best for it,” the Deputy Chief Minister emphasised.

Later, the leader presented prizes to various winners who took part in different competitions in the presence of AU Vice Chancellor GP Raja Sekhar, among others.
