ProfSatyanarayan Acharya, Dean of the School of Sahitya and Samskriti at National Sanskrit University (NSU), Tirupati, has been appointed as the Vice-Chancellor of Odia University, Satyavadi, Puri, for a three-year term.

A noted Sanskrit scholar and orator, Prof Acharya has conducted over 1,500 ten-day Spoken Sanskrit training programmes across the country. He has published 45 research papers and edited 26 books in Sanskrit language and literature. Under his guidance, 28 MPhil and 35 PhD scholars earned degrees and recently got promoted as Senior Professor. NSU Vice- Chancellor Prof GSR Krishnamurthy, university officials, staff, and students felicitated Acharya on his elevation.
